Peenya Industries Association

Peenya Industries Association (PIA), established in 1978 by a group of visionary entrepreneurs, is dedicated to safeguarding the interests of industries within the Peenya Industrial Complex—home to approximately 13,000 MSMEs and numerous large and medium-scale enterprises. Over the years, PIA has evolved from a welfare organization into a key facilitator for MSME growth and development. Recognized by both Central and State Governments, the Association plays a pivotal role in shaping industrial policies that foster business expansion and innovation.
Functioning under the Karnataka Societies Act, PIA operates on democratic principles, with an elected Council of Management comprising the President, Senior Vice President (President-Elect), Vice President, Immediate Past President, and elected council members. The leadership is further strengthened by the presence of past presidents and special invitees, ensuring continuity and strategic guidance. Various sub-committees focus on key industry sectors, while a dedicated secretariat manages day-to-day operations under the guidance of office bearers.
PIA offers a range of services to its members, including assistance with banking and credit requirements, legal and taxation support, provident fund and employee insurance facilitation, procurement assistance, and regulatory guidance on GST, customs duties, electricity, and water supply. The Association also aids in forming trusts, promoting business-friendly institutions, and collaborating with government bodies to enhance industrial infrastructure and policies that benefit MSMEs.
Beyond advocacy and support services, PIA actively promotes professional and technical consultation, conducts industry research, facilitates common service initiatives, and publishes informative resources. It also sponsors trade delegations and study tours, both domestically and internationally, to foster global business opportunities. Committed to entrepreneurship development, PIA provides essential guidance and resources for new industrial ventures, ensuring the sustained growth of Peenya as a thriving industrial hub.
With a legacy of over four decades, the Peenya Industries Association continues to be a dynamic force in championing the interests of industries, driving innovation, and fostering a business-friendly ecosystem.
